Brad Crowder, co-owner of the Crowder Salvage Company, faces challenges in his partnership with Jo Matheson, his business partner and romantic interest, as her inherited share of the company creates tension in their relationship.

In the movie, Brad Crowder, co-owner of the Crowder Salvage Company, is a ladies' man who rejects his business partner Jo Matheson's romantic advances. When the war breaks out, he joins the Army and is sent to training school, where he meets various women, including Kitty Duval and Lorine Gray. Meanwhile, Jo joins the WAC and Owen McCarey gets engaged to Lorine. As relationships become complicated, Brad finds himself torn between his feelings for Jo and his newfound affection for Lorine. The story culminates in a dramatic overseas adventure where one of the men must risk their life to save the other.
