As they explore the wilderness, Olive becomes captivated by Bluto, who is dressed as a Tarzan-like character, and he reciprocates her admiration. The situation escalates into a series of intense battles and one-upmanship between Popeye and Bluto, with the latter summoning a variety of animals to aid him. Meanwhile, Popeye cleverly uses his spinach to transform the animals into fur coats, which he then uses to rescue Olive from a treehouse, where Bluto had left her.
