A young servant named Anna Jurin arrives at the Saint Ange Orphanage in the French Alps in 1958, where she begins working with Helena while the orphans are relocated to new families. Anna, who is hiding her own pregnancy, forms a bond with the last remaining orphan, Judith, who has been left behind due to her mental health issues.
