As they journey, Salako's feelings for Emine deepen, but she is secretly in love with the bandit Hamido. Emine manipulates Salako, using his naivety to her advantage, and eventually escapes to Hamido, only to find herself trapped and forced to watch as Salako is mistakenly believed to have killed Hamido's men. In the end, Emine regrets her actions, and Salako forgives her, allowing them to live happily ever after.
