Saturday Island

A nurse and a Marine, stranded on a deserted island in the South Pacific, must work together to survive after their hospital ship is destroyed by the Japanese in 1943.

In the South Pacific during World War II, a US Military hospital ship nurse, Lieutenant Elizabeth Smythe, and a Marine Corporal, Michael J. "Chicken" Dugan, are the sole survivors when their ship is hit by a mine. They spend months stranded on a deserted island, where they develop a romantic connection despite their age difference. Their peaceful life is disrupted when an airplane crashes on the island, leaving only William Peck, who also falls for Elizabeth. After being rescued by a Navy ship, the trio is reunited in civilization, revealing unexpected reactions and perspectives.
