Winona Applegate, a successful chef, leaves Pittsburgh to audition for her own TV show in New York, but her car breaks down in the quirky town of New Holland. She rents a room at a local inn run by Adam, a widower, and agrees to help with the Spring Festival menu in exchange for car repairs. As she works with Adam, Winona finds herself falling in love with the town and one of its residents.
