Shadows

In this film, a hipster named Benny navigates the vibrant beat scene in Manhattan, searching for direction and avoiding trouble. His sister Lelia, who appears more White than African-American, is on the cusp of falling in love. Meanwhile, their older brother Hugh, a struggling singer, faces self-doubt and lack of faith in his talent from his agent Rupert. As the story unfolds, the three siblings' lives intertwine, revealing the complexities of family, friendship, and love.
