In the spring of 1961, Simone Forti presented a program of radical new dances at a New York loft studio. The performances, titled Five Dance Constructions and Some Other Things, featured non-stylistic actions by the performers, who moved through different locations in the loft. The event was organized by composer La Monte Young and featured a sculptural installation of elementary structures, including a hanging rope and wooden boxes. In 2004, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles invited Forti to re-create the dance constructions, which were documented on this DVD. The program includes six dance pieces, accompanied by La Monte Young's 2 Sounds, and features a question and answer session with Forti at the conclusion.
