Dr. Alice Arnolds, a sleep therapist, witnesses her sleepwalker brother's death as a child. She now works with colleague Malcolm in a clinic. When the Morgan family seeks help for their son's sleep issues, Alice suspects sleep paralysis. She takes the whole family to the clinic, where they sleep under surveillance. Charlie Morgan, the father, attacks Alice, and she believes she's solved the case of an abusive father, leading to his arrest. However, the son is attacked again, and the janitor and his uncle reveal that an ancient demon, Nocnitsa, is behind the family's troubles.
