In the East-Berlin music scene, Sunny's band is trying to make a name for themselves, playing small gigs in towns across the city. However, Sunny feels disconnected from the audience and her life, leading her to start a relationship with Ralph, a saxophonist with a passion for philosophy. Despite his romantic gestures, Ralph's fascination with death and infidelity ultimately drives them apart. After a falling out with her bandmate and a confrontation with a show host, Sunny is kicked out of the band, leaving her to pick up the pieces and regain control of her life.
