Some Like It Hot

A charming showman, Nicky Nelson, runs a wax-and-alive exhibit on Atlantic City's boardwalk, perfectly timed to coincide with Gene Krupa's energetic band performances that draw in a lively crowd.

Nicky Nelson, a charismatic sideshow barker, operates a wax-and-alive concession on Atlantic City's boardwalk with the help of his friend Gene Krupa's struggling band. Despite their efforts, the acts fail to attract customers, leading to the concession being shut down due to unpaid rent. Nicky then tries to promote Krupa's band to Stephen Hanratty, head of the Dance Pavilion, but is rebuffed. However, while attempting to secure an audition for singer Lily Racquel at a radio station, Nicky meets her and agrees to help her, only to lose the crucial ring in a game of craps.
