Aunt Emma Bates, a spinster, visits a boxing match in the "Big Town" to see Mickey O'Banion, the son of her former fiancé, a boxing champion. She sits next to Terry, a reporter, who's trying to find Rex Crenshaw, the lawyer for a gangster who's been kidnapped. Emma is mistaken for notorious gun-woman Ma Parker and suspected of working for the kidnapped gangster's rival.
