A housewife, Mariko, is trapped in a loveless marriage with her younger husband Tomoharu, who frequently absents himself from home, leaving her to suspect infidelity. Her job at a batting center is equally unfulfilling, with a lecherous manager and demanding customers. As her life becomes increasingly suffocating, Mariko's perception of reality begins to distort under the weight of her own obsessive thoughts.
