The reverend's sister, a well-educated and snobbish woman, joins forces with a gruff steamboat captain to avenge her brother's death and aid the British war effort. They set out on a perilous journey to build a torpedo and destroy a German warship on a vast lake, facing numerous challenges and personal conflicts along the way.
