Rex Allen, a former GI and rodeo cowboy, is arrested for his father's alleged role in stealing $50,000 from the Dusty Acres Irrigation Company. He escapes and goes undercover as Arizona Jones, a cowhand, to investigate the theft and clear his father's name. With the help of Laramie Carson and I.Q. Barton, Rex discovers that the real culprits are Hugh Davenport and his uncle Jim, who have kidnapped his father as part of a scheme to ruin the community and drill for oil.
