The Army Mascot background

The Army Mascot

In this comedic adventure, a cunning canine named Pluto attempts to sneak into a military base by impersonating the official mascot, Gunther Goat, only to be foiled when he realizes the "treats" are actually just tin cans.

In the next movie, Pluto's desire for the perks enjoyed by the army base's mascots, particularly Gunther Goat, leads him to sneak in and disguise himself. However, his discovery of tin cans instead of food is met with rejection by Gunther. Pluto's subsequent attempt to impress the GIs by chewing tobacco ends in disaster, as Gunther forces him to swallow it, causing a colorful transformation.
