A powerful alien brain named Gor takes over the body of scientist Steve March, using March's identity to threaten global destruction unless countries submit to his rule. However, a second brain named Val teams up with March's future wife Sally to stop Gor. Val reveals that Gor's power is weakened when he needs to leave March's body to recharge, and Sally leaves a crucial clue in Steve's lab about Gor's vulnerable spot, the Fissure of Orlando.
