Accountant Peter Brockman is dumped by his fiancée due to his workaholic ways and emotional detachment. He meets a blues pianist/singer at a lounge and rekindles his forgotten dream of becoming a musician. Peter forms a choir at a homeless shelter, where he meets a nun and other homeless men. The choir faces obstacles, including Peter's own baggage from his estranged father.
