A restless drifter, Patrick Foley, seeks refuge in a secluded Australian valley where he spent his youth. En route, he encounters Shawn, a young boy orphaned by a tragic accident in the unforgiving wilderness. As Foley is unable to escort the boy back to civilization, he begrudgingly takes him along and teaches him the harsh realities of survival.
