Maren, a Midwest sod farmer and drummer, takes care of her depressed father after her sisters leave home. Her father encourages her to pursue her dream of becoming an Americana musician, and she joins the band of country star Luke Thomas. On tour, Maren falls in love with Luke, but her declaration of love leads to unforeseen events.
