In the aftermath of the Second Sino-Japanese War, Ip Man leaves his peaceful life in Foshan to start anew in Hong Kong, where he faces the challenge of providing for his family. Meanwhile, Gong Er seeks vengeance against Ma San, who killed her father, and also challenges Ip Man to a fight to restore her family's honor.
