The Guardsman background

The Guardsman

In this psychological thriller, a renowned actor dons a convincing Russian uniform to put his marriage to the ultimate test, challenging his wife's devotion and trust in a heart-pumping game of deception.

A married acting couple's stage performances are not mirrored in their troubled personal life, where they constantly argue, even during curtain calls. The actor suspects his wife is no longer in love with him and is searching for another man, possibly drawn to the soldier type. He becomes suspicious when she receives bouquets of roses and a Russian guardsman is seen around their home. Unbeknownst to his wife, the actor is actually the guardsman, a Russian prince in disguise, who is testing her loyalty by sending the flowers and plotting to seduce her.
