In a cozy den with his siblings, Vuk, a lively and adventurous young fox, decides to explore the forest alone. However, upon returning home, he finds his family gone, and soon discovers that feared human hunters, known as "bare-skins," are responsible. Luckily, Vuk is taken under the wing of his wise and experienced uncle Karak, who teaches him the skills to become the forest's most cunning and successful fox.
