Five years after Adolphe Noblet's fatal train accident, his friends and servant still revere him, while his widow Juliet's new husband Gustave is met with disdain. Juliet's friends suggest a new hairdresser, Leopold Trebel, but to everyone's surprise, Leopold is actually Adolphe, suffering from amnesia. As Adolphe's memory is restored through hypnosis, he learns he's been missing for only a few hours, not five years. With the truth revealed, Adolphe must decide which life he wants to reclaim, between his original family or the one he's grown to know as Leopold.
