After 10 years in Africa, Reverend Charles Fortescue is recalled to England to minister to London's prostitutes. His fiancée Deborah, however, is oblivious to the nature of his new assignment and encourages him to do his best. Meanwhile, wealthy Lady Isabel Ames offers to fund the work, but only if Charles agrees to share her bed.
