A wealthy landowner, Huzur Biswamghar Roy, hosts lavish concerts in his music room, but his fortunes decline as his lands are eroded by a river. He spends his last jewels on a party to outdo a neighbor, but tragedy strikes when his wife and son are killed in a storm.
