In a sun-deprived neighborhood, 16-year-old Jamie lives with his family in a cramped housing trust home. He yearns for escape from the violence and hopelessness surrounding him. Enter John, a charismatic man who becomes his savior, providing stability and a sense of family to Jamie's life. As John mentors Jamie, he indoctrinates him into his world of bigotry, righteousness, and malice. Jamie begins to adopt John's traits, but as people start disappearing, he develops suspicions about John's true intentions. When the truth is revealed, Jamie's hopes of happiness are threatened by his loyalty and fear of John, his father-figure.
