A woman is taken captive by Apache Indians and later traded to the Mojave. She lives as a squaw for 11 years before being discovered by her husband. After being deemed unfit for society, she's confined to a desert shack. Her life is transformed by a Mexican man who befriends her, boosts her self-esteem, and helps her regain confidence. He reintroduces her to her husband, then departs, but as he leaves, he's ambushed by her husband's men, leading to a violent confrontation.
