In the aftermath of the Civil War, two former colonels, John Henry Thomas and James Langdon, guide their respective groups through war-torn Mexico. John Henry's party brings horses to the Mexican government, while Langdon leads a group of displaced southerners seeking a new life after losing their properties. Despite their differences, the two must put aside their animosity to defend against bandits and revolutionaries and safely escort their companions to a better future.
