When Daffy is hired to watch a chicken egg, he gets more than he bargained for as the egg hatches and a chick emerges, rejecting Daffy as a stranger. Determined to catch the chick, Daffy faces a series of obstacles, including encounters with Spike the dog and another chicken whose nest the chick takes refuge in, as well as a treacherous high wire that proves to be a major challenge.
