Thunderhoof background

Thunderhoof

In the scorching Mexican desert, a rugged Texas rancher, his wife, and a trusted ranch hand embark on a perilous quest to find a legendary wild horse, as long-buried secrets and desires threaten to disrupt their fragile harmony.

Texas rancher Scotty Mason ventures into the Mexican desert with his young wife Margarita and hired-hand The Kid to capture a wild horse. However, The Kid's affections for Margarita grow before they even cross the border, and he focuses on getting rid of Scotty instead of hunting the horse. As they journey on, the tension between Scotty and The Kid escalates, culminating in a violent fight. Scotty breaks his leg while capturing the horse, and with a makeshift splint, they begin their return to Texas. But The Kid's treachery is soon revealed when he abandons Scotty in a ravine and convinces Margarita that he has deserted them.
