Mickey's tugboat maintenance is disrupted by a pesky pelican, but a distress call for a sinking ship demands immediate attention. Joined by Donald and Goofy, the unlikely crew faces numerous challenges as they set out to rescue those in peril. Goofy struggles to stoke the boiler, overfilling it in the process, while Donald becomes entangled in the machinery. Furthermore, the crew's lack of coordination results in the tugboat dragging half the dock behind it, ultimately leading to a boiler explosion caused by excessive wear and tear.
