Luke Barrett awakens in the desert with no memory of who he is or how he got there. He finds a rifle with the word "Dingus" carved on its stock and a dead body nearby. With a concussion and temporary amnesia, Luke sets out to find answers. He heads to the nearest town, where a stranger clad in black greets him by name and asks about his partner Donovan. As Luke pieces together his identity, he discovers he and Donovan were hired to kill his brother, Victor Barrett, a wealthy landowner. The stranger is revealed to be the one who hired them, and Luke decides to face his brother in a showdown.
