A novelist named Samantha Rollins takes a weekend retreat to a lakefront cabin, unaware of its dark past. She finds an antique Underwood typewriter and a trunk of love letters and photos. As she cleans the cabin, Samantha starts having recurring dreams about the people in the photos, revealing a tragic event from years earlier. Each morning, her dreams are typed out on the typewriter, leading her to uncover the cabin's secrets. However, she has little time to stop a killer before becoming the next victim.
