War of the Range background

War of the Range

A father's decision to enclose a long-standing grazing land sets off a bitter conflict between him and his son, who allies with a newcomer to challenge his father's authority.

A ruthless rancher, Jim Warren, sparks a range war by convincing his boss, Duke Bradley, to fence off a portion of the land used by other ranchers. The conflict escalates when Tom Bradley, Duke's son, allies with a newcomer to the area, a nester family. Warren's scheme takes a turn for the worse when he steals Duke's money and frames Tom for the crime.
