Wine, Women and Horses

Jim Turner, a gambler, breaks up with his girlfriend Valarie in Chicago, planning to reunite with her at Saratoga after a stop in Barrowville, where he meets a charismatic bootblack named Eight Ball and a gambler named George Mayhew, and increases his wealth.

Jim Turner, a gambler, meets George Mayhew and Eight Ball in Barrowville and replenishes his bankroll by gambling on horseshoes. He then meets "Broadway" and wins heavily betting on his thoroughbred race horse, "Lady Luck". Jim falls in love with Marjorie, George's sister, and wins her away from Preston Barrow by promising to get a respectable job.
