Takumi Harada, a 12-year-old prodigious baseball pitcher, joins a new school's unskilled team after his family moves to Nitta. He believes it's more interesting if the team becomes a powerhouse due to his presence. Takumi needs a catcher who can keep up with his pitches, but finds one in Gou Nagakura, a fan and fellow student who's eager to prove his skills.
