A group of friends and artists gathered regularly at a loft on Grand Street to listen to a band rehearse, culminating in impromptu "battle of the bands" sessions. The events became popular, attracting surprise guests. The group was approached by VPRO Television to film a segment on NYC's "No Wave" art scene.
