Tweety Bird and Sylvester the cat engage in a thrilling chase. Tweety hides in a hat at a millinery store, where Granny is shopping. After a store clerk chases Sylvester away, Granny buys the hat and wears it, unaware of the bird inside. Sylvester spots the hat and gives chase. The movie features several hilarious gags, including Sylvester hiding in a man's hat, Granny clobbering a man and the cat after a remark, and the cat's tail getting caught in an elevator door. In the end, Sylvester finally catches Tweety in a taxi, but gets clobbered when the car drives through a low-clearance tunnel.
