Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly old man, is visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley, who warns him to change his ways or face consequences in the afterlife. Scrooge sees visions of his past, both joyful and sorrowful, that shaped his character, and is shown how others celebrate Christmas by the Ghost of Christmas Present.
