A taxi driver, still reeling from a personal loss, accepts a ride from a German journalist and finds himself entangled in the midst of the 1980 Gwangju Uprising.
May 1980. A Seoul taxi driver, Man-seob, accepts an offer to drive a foreign passenger to Gwangju and back before curfew for a hefty sum. He picks up German reporter Peter and sets off, despite being stopped by police roadblocks.
