Ashutosh Pawar, a clerk in Mumbai's water department, dreams of being a writer and writing his own story. Despite being a voracious reader, he's only managed to write the first line of his short story. Seeking guidance from his professor, renowned writer Prof. V.V.Deshpande, Ashutosh learns that a central character is essential to his story. He embarks on a search for this character, encountering several unsuccessful attempts before finding Mr. Nandkumar Deshmukh, a young loan recovery officer at a multinational bank.
