Two outlaws, Dave "Kansas Kid" Hill and Sagebrush Charlie, accused of horse-thievery, team up with Ed Dawson, who's wounded while helping them escape. They find work with Ed's father's trail herd, but things take a suspicious turn when they're sent to work for the rival Coulter outfit instead.
