Johnny Broderick, an arson squad investigator, and his assistant Ben Howard investigate a warehouse fire and uncover evidence of arson. They soon discover that lawyer William Yarbo is behind a series of fires, including one that killed "Pop" Bergen, the father of Marily Bergen. Yarbo had planned to burn the warehouse, inherited by Keely Hariss, an actress, and collect the insurance money.
