Ted Clark saves pickpocket Danny from a mob, then returns a stolen pocketbook to its owner, Ann Dawson. The pocketbook contains a letter proving her brother's innocence, as he's wrongly on death row, and Jim Grant's guilt. Ted and Danny aid Ann's escape from Grant's henchmen, facing numerous close calls as they journey to deliver the proof to the Governor.
