Being Different

Unstoppable individuals with physical disabilities push beyond their limits, demonstrating an inspiring capacity for perseverance and flexibility.

A cinematic celebration of individuals who defy conventional norms, featuring a diverse cast of characters including very tall and large individuals, a bearded woman, conjoined twins, and little people, including actor Billy Barty. The film takes viewers on a journey to Gibsonton, Florida, where carnival performers spend their winters, and explores the lives and achievements of its subjects. Along the way, it also visits a man with a unique face, a legless mechanic on a romantic getaway, a motivational speaker with no feet, a karate student with partial limbs, and an armless mother living in Texas.
