In December 1942, two young soldiers abandon their Swedish post to venture into the frozen night towards the Norwegian border, just as Germany occupies Norway. The soldiers' adventure ends in disaster, and the next day, Lieutenant Aron Stenström discovers that his brother is among the missing. With the odds against him, Aron embarks on a perilous rescue mission behind enemy lines, facing a treacherous Norwegian forest where survival depends on crossing a different kind of line.
