In the small town of Oreville, a new school teacher, Anne Lamont, is escorted by Jimmy Wakely and Cannonball Taylor. However, their journey is disrupted when she's attacked by outlaws Tom Slade and Cal Derringer. As the situation unfolds, Marshal Blackjack Flint, who's been wounded, is revealed to be Anne's father, and Derringer uses this information to blackmail him. Jimmy and Cannonball ultimately join forces with Flint, a reformed outlaw, to take down Derringer and restore justice.
