Rancher Steve Condon mistakenly believes he killed his own cowhand, Bud Mathews, in a fight with rustlers. He then hires on at the Mathews Ranch, where he meets Bud's family and becomes embroiled in a mystery involving a rustled herd of cattle and a rival rancher's plans to gain control of the property.
