The movie Buried Land tells the story of ordinary people trying to achieve their dreams in Visoko, a small town in central Bosnia, where ancient pyramids have been discovered. The film follows Emir, a Bosnian émigré, and an American director as they make a movie about the pyramids. The townspeople, including a tourist agent and the quixotic founder of the Valley of the Pyramids, are involved in the project. As the movie is made, Emir's behavior becomes more and more bizarre, leading to a chaotic shoot at the Moon Pyramid. The film explores the lines between fact and fiction, and the power of faith, imagination, and community.
